friday, at about 10am, fonzie, sonya, and i headed down to hb, where we spent the night sewing, chatting, eating in n out, and getting excited.  oh yeah, we also took some pics, looked at pics that fonzie still needs to upload, and watched some videos of steve aoki playing on campus this past wednesday, and basically talked about how awesome our lives are.

<3

saturday, we heading down to la.  fonzie headed to monster massive, while sonya, kathy and i headed to hard halloween.  and it was so epic.  the music was so good, the people were chill, the dancing--sublime.  sonya and i were really early, so we watched classixx outside on the main hard stage.  they did a pretty good job of getting us pumped up.  around 9:15, things started to get magical (;  all three of us met up, and...well, you know.  we watched shinichi osawa and major lazer until steve aoki started to play his set.  he came out dressed like a zombie!  his set started out like the one he played on campus, minus the deadmau5 remixes, and with a special surprise-- kid sister made a guest appearance!!!!  her pants were so cool looking, omg.  anyway, we got to hold steve's hands again, since we were right up front, which was realllllly epic (:

after that, we managed to catch about 15 minutes of the crookers show before we headed outside to the hard stage where justice was headlining!  they opened with waters of nazareth, which is, tbh, one of my faaaaaaavorite songs!  the highlight of their set was D.A.N.C.E. (both the regular version AND their remix, it was really cool), and to top off their encore, they did justice vs simian - we are friends!!! it was love<3  it was fun sitting on this guy's shoulders and swaying around to the music, he was really nice to let me sit up there so i could see and dance and stuff.

afterwards, we headed inside for a surprise: DEADMAU5!!!!!!!  he was supposed to play friday, but he also decided to play on saturday, which just MADE hard halloween even more epic (:  he played ghosts n stuff (both the original and rob swire versions), and i died.  diiiiiiiied.  we were front row for him too, he wore a different mau5 head than he did at lovefest (: there are pics on fbook.

i might make a photocollection of october and post it on here, since october was basically the most epic, wonderful month ever, of my life<3
special thanks to: sonya fonzie kathy sara jen jimmy monica christine robin malavika hung rishi justin
<3 to you all (:

yesterday steve aoki came to play a live show on lower sproul on campus, for freeeeee!  the show started at five, we were drunk by 4:25.  our group got there really early, so we could stand in the front... so epic.  sonya, fonzie, and i were in the very, very front, right by the railing, which was so sick.  we spent the whole show dancing and shouting.. my voice is practically gone right now, but who cares.  towards the end of the show, people were shoving so crazy hard that us three had to stand up on the railing... my kneecaps are completely bruised, and i have a shit ton of bruises on my elbows as well.  my back hurts from where people were hitting us, my thighs and legs hurt from clutching onto the railing... but it was so fucking worth it, to be up in front and seeing steve aoki!!!!  i'm kind of bummed he didnt play his remix of the MSTRKRFT remix of Justice - D.A.N.C.E. or goose, but he did play warp-- 1, 2, WOOP WOOP!!!! which was so sick.  AND he played this AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING remix of deadmau5 - ghosts 'n' stuff, which we all know is my favorite deadmau5 song!!!!!  ohhhhh it was sooooooo GOOD!!!

towards the end, during the encore, i pulled out my sharpie and a dollar bill, and i made eye contact with steve to get him to sign my dollar, and so after the show, he came up to me, signed my and fonzie's dollars, and then started signing other people's shit.. and then sonya was like HEYYY!  WILL YOU TAKE A PICTURE WITH MY FRIEND?? YOU STOLE HER SHARPIE!!!!!" so he did.  and he wore my ring!  and he STILL has my sharpie lol.  man the show was so great!!!  i got to grab onto his arm and hand when he reached out to the crowd, and i touched his hair... and took a pic with him.  OMG LIFE IS SO GOOD SOMETIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

afterwards, we went to epr where we danced for a good while... robin and chuck were there too, which was chill.
tomorrow sonya, fonzie, and i are heading down to socal for hard!  IT'S GOING TO BE SO EPIC!!!!!!!  i can't wait!
i'm kinda annoyed that kathy won't be able to carpool with us, because it's already kinda not cool that we're just three girls by ourselves since neither jimmy nor fonzie are going to hard, but whatevs.  it'll be a good night... hopefully all goes well :X

i'm not that same person i was when you knew me.
i'm tired of being the one who tries to make contact with all of you, and maintain friendships, when it seems like you don't care, since you never make any effort to see me or even talk to me unless you're bored/upset.  that's not what friendship is.
it's okay though, i get that we've all grown up and grown a little apart; things change.
it's sad, but i can't really do anything about it.
sorry.

so, just like all the other weekends so far, this past one was pretty fucking sick.
friday night was the alpha sig date auction, so my homie malavika and i hit it up.  it was pretty fucking funny, i love those boys.  best quote of the night:
"PLEDGE! TAKE A PICTURE"
-fonzie.
he is such a funny drunk.
we left early to go to sammys, and then we left that to go to ka.  ka was packed, but luckily nick was able to get us in.  he's so nice!! yay (:  robin met up with us there, and it was swellz.  she and i left, got blondies, and crashed at my house. i lost an earring btw.. i think it's somewhere in my room though cuz i found the back, i just can't find the earring itself.  it sucks ):

on saturday, we KILLED our opponents in football.  so sick.  then, in the evening, sara, jen, and i headed to the fox theater in oakland to see mika play live!!  it was so fucking epic.  mika ALWAYS puts on an amazing show.. i love seeing him<3  he opened with relax (take it easy), which is the song we heard everyday in italy, so it meant a lot to us that he played it first.  and his set was so good!!!!!!! he had torn ligaments in one of his feet, so he was hopping around in a cast, but that didn't stop him from DANCING and being fucking amazing!  anyway, sara and i got draaaaaaaank!  it was kinda funny :p  well, 'til it stopped being funny.  anyway, later on i headed over to the alpha sig inferno party with christine, and the first two boys i run into are fonzie and rishi.  when drank, they are so cute together-- like an old married couple, as sonya says.  all in all, it was an AMAZING night!  there are pics and videos of the show up on fbook btw!

today (well yesterday now, i guess), sonya, brenna and i headed to golden gate park where they were celebrating the 40th anniversary of woodstock.  it was a lot of fun!  smelled so dank everywhere though haha.  the highlight was when we climbed up onto the roof of a bus, the view was AMAZING!  it was really scary though 'cuz half of the railing was coming off the bus so we had to be really careful climbing up and down.  merrrr.

so yeah.  rock on, october!  i can't wait for wednesday (:

saturday was treasure island music festival (timf)!  and jen and i went in time to catch three of my most favoritest artists perform: MSTRKRFT, Girl Talk, and MGMT!!!  man, when i first heard bounce start playing, i was so excited!  and then when they played their remix of justice - d.a.n.c.e. i did die.  on the inside, of course.  they even paused to shout out to michael jackson... it was so perfect.  unfortunately i had to miss recording heartbreaker to go to the other stage to see girl talk, and then i had to miss bounce that to head back to see MGMT, but it's okay, because i got to see so much and hear everything... i woke up, and bounce was still reverberating through my body.

i love music.

it was chill seeing fonzie afterwards too.  we chilled at the rave that they had on after MGMT!!!  sooooo much fun.
october just keeps pwning the rest of the year<3

so yeah.  kathy, paul, and drew came up from la this weekend.  we kicked it in berkeley sat night (didn't make it to chromeo :/) but it was tight anyway.  also with us were paula, sonya, and rachel, my friend from wellesley who came up for her fall break.  major shit show.  thinking back on it, we drank a shit ton.  but hey, it's college, this is what we do, right?  right.  sunday, before they all left, i had eithiopian food with the la guests.  never tried it before.. it was surprisingly expensive for the teeny-tiny portions you get, and i didn't really like it too much.. but i guess it was a cool experience to try anyway.

i really miss kathy.  come back and visit me sooooooon<3

rachel left today.  since she never went to the castro or golden gate park when she was here over the summer, i told her i'd go with her.  so around 3:30 we left berkeley and headed to embarcadero, where we caught a bus to the castro.  we got these yummy toffee cookies from this bakery, hot cookie.  and around 4pm, after poking through some of the shops they had, we decided to do another thing she's never done: go on a pub crawl.  our first stop was a wine bar, and we were the only people there lol.  but as we were leaving, more people started showing up.

we left the castro intending on hitting up golden gate park.  to my utter delight, we found out that to get to the park we had to pass through haight-ashbury, my all time favorite part of sf.  since she had never been there either, we got off the bus and wandered through the stores, and ended up at a bar just before the park's entrance.  one gin and tonic later, and we were exploring the park.

golden gate park is huge.  it is also very sketchy, and you most definitely do not want to be there after dark.  unfortunately it was nearing 6, so we didn't have too much time to spend there.  we did get to see some cool shit though, before we headed back to the haight.  we hit up three more bars, when i got the bright idea to head over to the mission, since there are a bunch of neat bars and pubs there.  after chatting up a group of regulars in the pub on haight and masonic (i think), we headed to 18th and valencia in the mission.  we were pretty fucking hungry by now, so we stopped over at my absolute most favorite restaurant in the city: fritz.  i made friends with the waiter guy, who offered to drop us off at his favorite bar two blocks down after work.  he said he would come with us normally, but he had work at 8am the next day, so he wouldn't be able to.  we decided against this though, and bart-ed back to berkeley, where we went to first bear's lair, and then kip's.  crazy adventure, but loads of fun.

rachel, you gotta come back to berkeley in nov for paula's birthday so we can pub crawl again!  it was so much fun (:

today my plans for halloween have finally been solidified.  sonya and i (and kathy, once she gets paid) are all going to hard halloween saturday.  i'm really excited to see justice, basement jaxx, crookers, and steve aoki (who is actually playing for free on campus on the like 28th).  we have a ride down there (my parents) and are flying back up, so all is good.  fonzie is also seriously considering coming down and back up with us, though he'll be at monster massive instead, which kinda sucks.  i really wish jimmy could come too.. i've never rolled in socal without him ):  maybe some good luck will happen though, and he'll be able to go!  who knows?  these things all have a way of figuring themselves out, after all.  at the very least, i'll come hang out with him since i didn't get to see him last time i went home.

other good news: jen finally committed to going to treasure island music festival on saturday with me.  this means i get to see MGMT, MSTRKRFT, AND girl talk play live.  i might just die.  october is shaping up to be the most epic of months, of my life, period.  why?  these are my next three weekends:
1. treasure island music festival
2. mika concert
3. steve aoki (not a weekend, but COME ON)
4. hard halloween

naturally, i am veryyyyyyyy happy right now.
i just hope it all actually happens, haha.
lookin' forward to seeing/hanging out with my boys (pooks and fonzie) and my girls (sara jen kto sonz) and of course, my family (:
mad love
